A slightly delayed account… Holy Thursday began with the arrival of Fr. Angelo, followed by further preparations for the feast (cooking and cleaning—baking unleavened bread, frying goat meat, etc.). Everyone had a task, as it usually happens in community life.
The Triduum began with a festive supper in the style of the Jewish Seder meal, followed by the Eucharistic liturgy with the washing of feet. The difference here was that Fr. Angelo washed the feet of all participants of the liturgy, and afterwards Tesfay washed his.
After Mass, the Blessed Sacrament was moved to another tabernacle (as shown in the photo), just as in our tradition the Eucharist is transferred to the Altar of Repose.
Today is Good Friday… in complete silence. A time for prayer… We had planned to hold the liturgy at 3:00 pm, but it is too hot, so it will begin at 5:00 pm… to be continued.
