On the Third Sunday of Advent – Gaudete (“Rejoice”) – in the parish of St. John the Apostle and Evangelist, the traditional Christmas Fair was held.
Alongside various stalls, our Association’s stand was also present, traditionally distinguished by a photo story from Gode. This time, Ethiopian coffee reigned on the tables.
But coffee wasn’t everything. The atmosphere of our booth was enriched by new faces – the Girl Scouts of the 29th Poznań Troop of Queen Jadwiga. Under the guidance of troop leader Zosia and assistant Agnieszka, they distributed homemade gingerbread cookies and handmade Christmas cards – all to bring a little more hope to Gode, Ethiopia.
And it must be said that the greatest joy was the fresh involvement of young people in the missionary work… a beautiful reminder that there are many ways to take part.
